PRESS RELEASE FROM APPLING COUNTY EMA
Baxley, Georgia (March 30, 2020) – On Monday, March 30, 2020, Appling County officials were notified that 2 (two) residents of Appling County tested positive for COVID-19. The Southeast Health District is investigating the cases and, will provide guidance to potentially exposed individuals. Appling County public safety officials met Monday, March 30, 2020, to discuss this latest development and are actively monitoring the situation. As always, continue to follow the recommendations of health officials and if you feel that you have symptoms, call your healthcare provider. More information about COVID-19 can be found at cdc.gov and dph.georgia.gov. It is imperative that all citizens, follow the guidelines issued by the CDC and Georgia Department of Public Health in an effort to slow the spread of this virus.
