On Monday, July 16, notification was given by the 2018 GEORGIA COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS that THE DOUBLE EAGLE BAND had made it to the Semi-Finalist Round in the category of TRADITIONAL ARTIST OF THE YEAR in the State of Georgia. The Georgia Country Awards is an annual event in Georgia, similar to the CMA Awards in Nashville. They honor the best in the state through votes from fans and the Georgia Country Awards Panel, consisting of professionals in the music business in Georgia.
The DOUBLE EAGLE BAND is a band from this area to include Danny Rewis, Jimmy Mosley and Stan Barnard from Collins, Georgia. Amanda Young Edwards and Dawn Phillips from Covena, Georgia and Baxley’s own, Butch Coleman. This band performs all over S. E. Georgia for a wide variety of events and is known for their choice of Traditional Classic Country Music by both male and female country artist as well as their ability to sing tight harmony. The Semi-Final voting started on Monday, July 16th. The ballot consist of the top 12 Traditional Artist within the State of Georgia. To place your vote for THE DOUBLE EAGLE BAND, go to georgia-country.com/awards.php on your computer, cell phone or any other device with as IP address. Scroll down to the Traditional Artist of the Year section (red section), place a mark beside the DOUBLE EAGLE BAND and press the vote button! Remember, only one vote per device per round. Voting in this round ends Monday, August 27th at noon! The finalist will be announced on Wednesday, August 29th with the final round.
The 2018 Georgia Country Awards will be held at The Crazy Bull in Macon, Ga on Friday night, Nov 9th.
